An early Victorian oak throne like chair with reeded finials over a shaped back carved with Masonic symbols and leather upholstered dished seat, on a crossframe base joined by a bell metal shield engraved with a coat of arms.  The back with a plaque insribed, 'This chair is made of the old oak and bell metal of York Minster destroyed by the fire May 20th 1840'
